Here is some information on your arrival at EL. Venizelos, the international airport in Athens Greece:
From Athens airport straight to the Messinian Bay hotel in Kalamata
There will be only one bus picking up the participants arriving at El. Venizelos airport between 14:00 and 15:00 on Sunday, 9th May since it is a three-hour drive from Athens to Kalamata so it would be impossible to have a shuttle bus as the time is not enough for commuting.
As soon as you have left the baggage claim section and enter the arrivals room, at El. Venizelos airport, you will see a volunteer from the K.A.N.E., organization holding a(n) ‘Ecomedia-Europe conference’ sign; He/She will guide you to the bus which will depart for Kalamata at around 15:30. Don’t be anxious that the bus will leave without you as the volunteer will have a name list checking arrivals. The will set off only when all expected participants are on board.
The colleagues who are not able to be at El. Venizelos between 14:00 and 15:00 on Sunday, 9th May, as soon as they get out of the arrivals hall of the airport, should pick up the X93 bus which connects the airport to the KIFISSOS bus station. The X93 bus departs every 45 minutes from the airport and costs 3, 20 euro. What’s more, it takes about an hour, usually during rush hours, to reach the airport. In Kifissos bus station, the colleagues can catch the first bus for Kalamata. There are buses departing for Kalamata every hour or so. The ticket costs 18 euro per person only for one way, i.e. only for coming to Kalamata. If you need to take the bus when leaving Kalamata the other way round for the airport, i.e. taking the bus for Athens and then catching X93 for the airport, that will cost you 21,20 euro (18 for the bus from Kalamata to Athens + 3,20 euro for the X93 bus to the airport)
 

Conference Payment
The colleagues who haven’t deposited any money in the accounts Filaretos has already sent, are kindly requested to do so as soon as possible. In situations where this is impossible, you can pay upon arrival at the hotel.

The conference room is in the hotel you’ll be staying at, www.messinianbay.gr. The hoteI is built on the sea side of Vergas Beach, just 5 Km drive from the town of Kalamata. A standard room is equipped with the following:

Climate/Clothing
The weather is wonderful at this time of the year, in full spring. You are advised to bring your swimsuits along and enjoy swimming in the sea. Also, especially for ladies, sun lotion is a must as the sun is quite strong. Your clothes should not be very warm, too.
